What It Is

Gas fees are a major UX barrier in DeFi. Users need to hold ETH (or native tokens) just to transact, adding friction to deposits and withdrawals. Gas abstraction removes this.

How It Works

Instead of users paying gas themselves:
  1. You enable gas sponsorship for users
  2. SDK automatically bundles gas payment with transactions
  3. User signs a single transaction
  4. You pay for gas, and transactions are relayed to the blockchain
  5. Optional: Monetize on gas sponsorship

Why It’s Useful

  • Better UX: Users can deposit USDC and earn yield without ever holding ETH. Remove the “you need ETH for gas” error that stops conversions.
  • Higher Conversion: Users coming from fiat or CEXs don’t have ETH. They can start earning immediately without learning about gas or acquiring native tokens.
  • Stablecoin-Only Experiences: Build apps where users only touch stablecoins. No ETH, just USDC/USDT in and out.
  • Flexible Business Models: Sponsor gas for deposits to drive growth, charge gas on withdrawals, or embed gas costs in your fee structure.
